Bringing the spotlight to life!
Listen to the music – and learn the theory behind it.Perform the music – and learn how to conduct it.Enjoy the show – and learn how to produce it.

At the Missouri Symphony Conservatory we are proud of our home at the newly-restored Missouri Theatre Center for the Arts (MTCA). Originally built as a vaudevillian theatre in 1928, MTCA is now the community gathering place where a diverse, energized Columbia community has investment, ownership and representation – truly a center for the arts that celebrates and elevates our community's collective soul.

While the conservatory is a wonderful place where our children can see what the world of music has to offer, we also see it as the perfect place to show the world what our children have to offer as well. With emphasis placed on ensemble experience, our conservatory comprises music ensembles, choral groups, a technical theater program, a piano competition and an enrichment program, which allows students to explore according to their own musical progression and interests. Programs for a wide range of ages and levels are designed to nurture each student's innate artistic expression, leading to the personal rewards that come from accomplishment and sharing.

Scholarship opportunities are available through the generosity of the Women's Symphony League of the Missouri Symphony Society.
