Our season begins with Mizzou student Anthony Hernandez’s musical tribute to The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost. Next, Saint-Saens’ flashy Third Violin Concerto is performed by Kyle Andre Lombard. Mr. Lombard, a native of Kansas City, is the recipient of Indiana University’s Performance Certificate and a graduate of Yale University. As a chamber musician , Mr. Lombard has performed throughout Europe, Middle East and The U. S. He currently resides in St. Louis and frequently performs with the St. Louis Symphony
Orchestra. The exuberant rhythmic and melodic inventiveness of Schumann’s 3rd Symphony, “Rhenish,” provides a grand finale to our opening concert.
