“Take Your Seat” Frequently Asked Questions
Do I get to pick the seats I wish to sponsor, or will they be assigned?
You have the opportunity to choose your seats on a first come, first served basis, or you can
choose your location (lower balcony, main floor, upper balcony) and have us assign you the best seats available.
What does the plaque look like? How many letters/words will fit? What can I put on the plaque?
Brass plaques are 7/8" tall x 2 3/4" wide and will be recessed in the arm of the seat. There is space for three (3) lines
of text with 10 characters per line (30 characters max.) Spaces count as characters.
How long will my plaque be on the seat?
Seat-sponsor plaques will remain on the seat for the life of the chair, which we expect to be at least 25 years.
When will I see my name on the seat?
When the newly restored & renovated Missouri Theatre Center for the Arts opens in June 2008.
What's going to happen to the old seats?
They will be sold, and all proceeds will benefit the capital campaign to restore and renovate the Missouri Theatre.
If I sponsor a seat, will I get to sit in it when I come to an event at the Missouri Theatre Center for the Arts?
Sponsoring a seat does not in any way guarantee that the seat will be available to you during performances. Tickets (general
admission or reserved) would still need to be purchased.
I contributed to the capital campaign in the past - am I entitled to have my name on a seat?
No, not for your past contribution. HOWEVER, all donors (past & present) will be recognized in the revised theater history book,
and those who give $250 or more will be recognized on a project contributor wall in the lobby. ALL donors (regardless of amount of
contribution) will be recognized in our list of donors.
Do I have to pay for the seat sponsorship(s) all at once?
Payment will be due within thirty (30) days of your seat reservation(s). After that, if payment has not been received, the seats will
be released. We will mail one notice to you as a reminder of your payment due.
How can I sponsor a seat(s)?
You have a few simple options:
- Complete the reservation form and return it to the Missouri Theatre Center for the Arts with your payment in full made by cash, check, or credit card.
- Pay nothing now. Complete the reservation form & pay within 30 days. We will mail you one reminder.
How much does it cost to sponsor a seat?
- $1,000 each Lower Balcony
- $1,000 each Main Floor: Front (rows A-I)
- $750 each Main Floor: Middle (rows J-Q)
- $500 each Main Floor: Rear (rows R-Y)
- $250 each Upper Balcony
